Some of our students visited our Hungarian partner institution in Bratislava called Pozsonyi Magyar Szakkollégium. This college was established in 2016 by the Pro Collegio Posoniensi Foundation with the efficient help of our rector, Botond Feledy.
Every semester we have the opportunity to quit the everyday life and spend an undisturbed weekend in the form of a retreat somewhere close to the nature. This autumn we went to Dobogókő and had a few days in quiet with the help of the Inigo group. This way we could deepen our faith and our relationship with God.
Every semester we spend a whole weekend together to build our community and to be far from the noise of Budapest. This year the weekend was organized by the "Community Team" and they chose the city of Vác for our stay.
Lajos Balázs - the professor of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (Research Centre for Astronomy and Earth Sciences) – visited our College this Thursday evening. He presented his ideas about the mixture of results of the astronomy and belief. With the help of his lecture (and discussion), we got a clear point of view about the borders of science and about the start of belief.
Every year the two institutions of the Jesuits in Budapest, the Saint Ignatius Jesuit College for Advanced Studies (SZIK) and the Jesuit Gipsy College for Advanced Studies (JRSZ) come together to have a teambuilding and some fun.
The Saint Ignatius Jesuit College for Advanced Studies organized its traditional masquerade ball for the second time this February. The private party — organized exclusively for students from other colleges for advanced studies — was extremely popular this year with more, than 280 guests.
